Neel, meaning indigo, is a low chair built entirely around one textile. Hand block printed indigo covers the seat and the bolster backrest, and then keeps going, wrapping two of the turned bobbin legs so the frame becomes part of the pattern. The remaining legs are left in warm turned wood as a deliberate contrast. Low, compact, and bold enough to be the first thing anyone notices, whether at a bedside, a window, or a dressing table.
