The Challenge
Time. Because this is a government office, work could only happen on Saturdays and Sundays. A conference room, resting areas, a lobby and a partition all had to fit into those weekend slots and still be finished in around 40 days.
Our Solution
We planned the work around the weekend windows from the start, deciding the order of jobs and what each Saturday and Sunday would achieve before we began, so site time went into building rather than deciding. Each space was taken through to completion in turn, so the office was not left half-finished from one weekend to the next.
The Result
The conference room, resting areas, lobby seating area and partition were completed in around 40 days, working only on weekends, and handed over finished.
